Meditation for College Students
TUESDAY, 25 MARCH 2008
OHIO – The Bowling Green State University has been offering meditation classes since 1998 to answer the students’ need to melt away stress. Many students have turned to meditation to avoid mental clutter as projects pile up and final exams loom.
Meditation classes in the University are held almost every fall and an average of 35 to 50 students enroll each year.
In the class, students participate in meditation retreats where they are taught to focus on their breath, calm down, and fully recognize the sensations of their body. Meditation can help students relieve both physical and emotional stressors.
