Annual Dzogchen Center Spring Meditation Retreat
FRIDAY, 23 FEBRUARY 2007
Dzogchen Center, Buddhism for the West presents the Annual Spring Meditation Retreat with Lama Surya Das, also with Lama John Makransy on Saturday, March 24 - April 1, 2007 at Joshua Tree California.
Dzogchen, the Natural Great Perfection is the highest teaching of the Tibetan tradition. It directly introduces our inner Buddha, the inherent freedom, purity and perfection of being. The Annual Spring Meditation Retreat provides an opportunity for retreat, reflection and renewal as the surrounding desert blooms following the dry winter months of Southern California.
During this retreat, Lama Surya will continue his teachings on the Dzogchen View, Meditation and Action, while Lama John will offer daily Dharma talks emphasizing practices that cultivate love and compassion.
This retreat is an ideal opportunity for new practitioners to gain access to these great teachings and practice tradition. Others find it an excellent opportunity to deepen their practice and further their understanding. The teachers are regularly available for guidance throughout the retreat during lively question and answer sessions as well as private interviews. Retreatants are encouraged to deepen their experience through the practice of Noble Silence for the entire retreat.
The registration fee is $895. This fee includes three vegetarian meals per day, tea breaks and a multiple occupancy room. Please register as early as possible to reserve a place and secure your choice of accommodation.
