Inmates of Tihar Jail in India have reformed themselves as well as change other jailbird’s lives through Vipassana Meditation, according to http://in.news.yahoo.com.
Around 500 inmates go through 10 different meditation courses of Vipassana. Tihar Jail is home to over 13,000 prisoners.
According to a law officer in Tihar Jail, when meditation classes started in 1993, teachers used to hold classes but these days, reformed inmates actively take part and help their teachers train others. Likewise, he also said that over 10,000 inmates have been trained in meditation in the past 13 years.
