UK Company to Introduce Meditation to the Elderly
THURSDAY, 24 AUGUST 2006
Dr. Sibani Roy, a Bengal-born businesswoman from North Wales, is setting-up the Swanlake Project, a company that will provide meditation services to the elderly and terminally ill.
Dr. Sibani Roy observes that meditation is less common in the UK to help those in the palliative care and the elderly, unlike in the United States, Australia, and parts of Europe. This is the main reason why she decided to establish the project. "I feel passionately that in Wales we are missing out on the benefits that meditation can offer everyone, especially those in our hospitals and hospice, the terminally ill and the elderly," Roy says.
The Swanlake Project will offer services to anyone who is interested in meditation.
