Remarks
Now and then, you should allow the deeper meaning of texts, poems, and other forms of writing to really affect you. |
At the end of a normal Meditation or when you have just read an interesting text, it may be a good idea to let the text really affect you. After reading the text, we take the time to become quiet inside and to really feel and experience the text. Pay attention to how your emotions react and the realization of recognition that you will feel deep inside. In a meditative state, this happens easily because we are not hindered by the constant stream of negative thoughts that easily distract us or obstruct the view. As in the case of any form of Meditation, we try not to judge, we try not to get angry with ourselves when things do not go so well, and we try not to be too goal-oriented. You are totally free in choosing any text you like. To give you some examples, we have put some nice texts on this page.

The greater danger
for most of us
is not that our aim is
too high
and we miss it,
but that it is too low
and we reach it.

Shine
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
It is our light and not our darkness that most frightens us.
|
We ask ourselves: who am I to be brillant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are the child of God. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking,
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
|
We are meant to shine as children do. We are born to manifest the glory of
God that is within us. It is not just in some of us. It is in everyone.
|
As we let our light shine, we unconsciuosly give other people permission to do the same. As
we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Working with love
|
Work is love made visible
And if you cannot work with love but only with dislike,
Then it is better for you to stop your work and sit down by the temple porch
To ask alms from those who like to work.
