Third Eye Meditation
There are many techniques to practice Meditation and Third Eye Meditation is one of them. The third eye is your gateway or door to yourself and being more with yourself is a sure way of being centered and focused in your day to day activities.
The Third Eye's lens is located in our aura, just in front of our Sixth/Brow Chakra. There are seven Chakras situated in different points in our body. The Sixth/Brow Chakra or what is also known as “Agya Chakra” is located between the eyebrows and is said to be the area of the “third eye”.
The Third Eye Meditation revolves around this area. We focus our awareness on our third eye and we attain a meditative state. Likewise, by using the sixth Charka as a primary point of our Meditation, we can facilitate the development of our third eye’s lens.
This Meditation technique is very simple.
- Begin by breathing long and deeply and gently move your chin down towards your chest.
- Relax your shoulders down and back, resting your hands on your thighs or down by your side.
- Close your eyes and gaze up to your 'third eye.' It is the invisible area located between your eyebrows.
- Relax your eyelids and begin to breathe long and deeply, allowing your eyes to stretch up to look at your third eye.
- Take five or more long deep breaths.
Third Eye Meditation is a method of tuning into different layers of consciousness. Moreover, it is a powerful way to access powers of intuition and inner strength. For those people who are already familiar with this technique, they use it to send and receive energy, view the future or clear some obstacle from the past. You can do a lot of things with this technique. What you use it for is up to you.
We reach our higher consciousness during this exercise. It is a place where we see that which our eyes cannot see. This Meditation is perfect for those who need help to quiet the mind, to begin to look within and tap into the Inner Knowledge and Strength.
You may include Third Eye Meditation in your everyday practice. Find your own spot where you can be at peace. Start with breathing exercises and relax. Wait for your body to relax, as all the thoughts in your head start to dissolve one by one. Once you are already in a relaxed state of body and mind, then you can already start with this exercise.
