Pyramid Meditation

photo from: www.pyr-mids.com Meditation, a discipline which has been around for over 5000 years, is an element of almost all of the world’s religions. It entails the focus of the mind on a certain object or specific thought; other times, the body is utilized, during different meditative positions, to achieve a kind of fusion between one’s body and mind. Most of the time, it involves shifting one’s attention to a single point of awareness; in this process, a higher state of mind is the ultimate end. There are numerous kinds of meditative practices, and each has its own merits and distinctions. One of these is Pyramid Meditation.

Simply put, Pyramid Meditation is a form of Meditation done inside, or underneath, a pyramid. Beyond the deceptively simple surface is the almost mystical basis of this particular type of Meditation.

It is believed that energy is attracted by, stored in, and emanates from model representations of the Great Pyramid. Furthermore, advocates of this belief maintain that properly constructed pyramid models repeatedly produce preservation in organic matter and hasten plant growth. Replicas also improve the flavor of charged foods and liquids and sharpen or polish dull metals. The pyramid also promotes healing for illnesses such as asthma, migraine, common colds, arthritis, and epilepsy. Drinking pyramid-energized water is believed to give the skin a healthy and youthful glow, and aids in digestion. Also, dreams supposedly become clearer with the help of pyramids, and induce out-of-the-body experiences much more often, too.

Meditating under a pyramid may alter a person’s brain waves in favorable ways. Many people experience feelings ranging from calmness to extreme euphoria during their Meditation sessions inside the pyramids. Most people who have tried Pyramid Meditation describe themselves as having experienced a complete relaxation of their bodies, followed by the shutting out of needless outside stimuli and immaterial thoughts and, in the end, achieving a changed state of consciousness which leads them to concentrate at deeper levels within themselves.

One can begin to practice Pyramid Meditation by building a pyramid replica following specific guidelines. Pyramids can be made from any material. For every one foot of height, the corresponding sides would be 1.4945 feet and base, 1.5708 feet. Side is measured from corner to the apex, and height is the vertical height from the apex to the base (perpendicular from the apex to the base). When the sides of the pyramid are in place, they will be forming an angle of 52 degrees 51 minutes to the base, a miniature replica of the Great Pyramid. The pyramid must be aligned to the four cardinal points i.e. north, east, south, and west; one of the sides can be used as the north-south axis.

Sounds complicated? Another choice is to simply imagine a pyramid form around you.

Whether you try building your very own pyramid model, or just visualizing one, Pyramid Meditation may prove to be a very worthwhile activity in the pursuit of two of the most elusive objects in the world today: peace and tranquility. Try it now and experience the power of the Great Pyramid.
