Japa Meditation
Japa Meditation may not be so accessible to everybody at first but on the contrary, it is the thing that is most commonly associated with the practice of Meditation. It is the form of Meditation in which you recite a word or a phrase repetitively, otherwise known as a mantra. But more than just uttering something repeatedly, there are several aspects of Japa Meditation that we will discuss here so that the subject may be appreciated further.
Japa is a Sanskrit word which comes from the root word “jap” that means to utter something or to repeat internally.
The aim of Japa Meditation is to primarily help you focus your thoughts on something. While some people prefer to concentrate by fixing their eyes or thoughts on one particular thing, the same goes with this form of Meditation. However, instead of a tangible object or that of your imagination, the focus here is the word or the phrase that you uttered.
There are several ways of doing Japa Meditation. For those who wish to practice this, feel free to explore the various ways so you will be able to determine which works well for you. The important thing here is the achievement of the goal and not much emphasis is put on how to go about doing it.

- Wear something comfortable to ensure that you will not be distracted during the course of the practice.
