Causes of Headaches
Written by: mec-mec
Headache is pain that affects all or part of the head and is produced by tension or tautness in the membranes around the brain, scalp, or neck.
Headaches are signals. Underlying these signals are causes. Your headache may have rooted from physical exhaustion, stressful activities, emotional problems, or even body disorders or illnesses. Most Headaches are due to strain on the muscles of the neck or head, or congestion of the muscles that supply them. Moreover, some frequent causes include defective eyesight, constipation, anxiety, etc. – all of which would require attention.
To find out what exactly could be the cause, see if there is a certain pattern. Do you get a Headache when you are upset? Or when you are stressed because you have to meet a certain deadline? Or do you have or is going to have a fever? It would be helpful to keep a record of the number of times that you have a headache. This will give you and your doctor a clear-cut picture of your complaints.
Remember that relieving your headache with medicine without knowing the cause will ease the pain for only a short period of time. Treating the root not the symptoms is far more effective.
