same here, I haven't tried it but what I know is it's one form of meditation where you focus your attention on the act itself. And I heard that it's one of the most intense experience among other meditation techniques, perhaps it's because most of us can be easily aware while we're doing something.

hmm, seems like it's a challenging technique! I can't imagine myself doing it since there can be a lot of distraction when you're outside walking, LOL.

i think it's a risky thing to do, you have to have a focused mind to do this type of meditation. If ever I'll try this, I would choose a quiet place so I won't be havin a hard time focusing.

Hi there! namaste! this is my first to time to hear that there is such thing as walking meditation, is it safe to do it? I'm thinking that you might be walking lost in thought not, can be dangerous esp. if there are cars passing by.

Walking meditation.. wow! I don't think I can concentrate. I mean there are a lot of things which can distract you while walking. How can you possibly in constant contact with yourself and not with anything or anybody else. People who can do this whew! I salute you. I haven't tried it but i'll do it sometimes, who knows I have the power of perfect concentration..

Is there really such a thing? How would you do that? I meditate more effectively when my eyes are shut tight. How on earthy am I going to do that. But if you will tell me that it would work then I am willing to try at all cost

walking meditation.. I think you need a lot of practice to be able to
do it.. it needs more focus and concentration, I haven't try it yet but
I think it's good exercising while meditating.

Wow this sure needs a lot of extra concentration. Haven't tried it but I got really curious. I cannot concentrate so much when I am in a group meditation and this one sounds more like a real challenge. I will definitely try this one. I think if I can pull this off then I both have exercise and meditation.

Meditation is a state,a level reached.Once you are there you can be in anykind of meditation.Meditation is being, not doing.
Of course you try walking meditation in quiet parks etc.But once you reach the level you most enjoy it in crowed places.

yes there is a practice of what they called "walking meditation".. as far as a know they called it Vipassanā or the short path.. the technique is so simply "awareness" just be aware of what you doing in the "NOW". at first walking meditation is very hard to practice but as you go on in a basic practice you will know that you can now do the walking meditation. Is the same Principle of the ancient chinese martial art called TAICHI.. when you practice taichi at first you did not know whats the effect but as years pass by when you start performing taichi you will know that you already in a thoughtless state of mind but you are awake and moving along.. -Light, Life and Love to All

The basic requirement is of your entire being there.Your presence physically, mentally and spiritually.Once that is there you are in meditation whether you are walking or dirving or eating.
