I travel,
I experience, I imbibe, I discover and most importantly—I SHARE!
This weeks
“shared gem” is a new & amazing spiritual retreat Blue Mango in the Himalayas.
The
site is www.bluemangohimalayas.com.
Here
is what makes it MY PICK (over the
others of course) :
(1)
It's not a luxury hotel with some meditation classes thrown in, BUT they get
the fact that one can need comfort while practicing spirituality.
(2)
Love the fact that it's not a concrete building...closer to nature is so good.
The promise is of super luxury tents. Nice!
(3)
I travel a lot to India and
love the Himalayas, but most of it is now
getting too commercial for comfort. sadly, even Ladakh. but this retreat is in
Spiti...lovely, secluded, serene Spiti!!
(4)
The program is really "WHOLESOME" -- some great stuff and get to
experience an ancient monastery, spend time with monks, eat food cooked by them
etc. This is great!! Very different.
(5)
LIVE MUSICIANS they promise. which retreat gives that?!! Wow, imagine
mountains, meditation and live music. Can't get much better than that.
(6)
I saved this one for the end coz it's the best part...well sort of...it's just
about $3000 for 11 days and once u reach Delhi, they take care of EVERYTHING
from there one. fly you to some place, road travel from there, food, acco, sightseeing,
therapies blah blah...the whole shabang. I AM SO ON!!!
(7)
CLOSE TO TIBET…
really close and has the similar landscape, language and culture, but one can
really breathe and explore spirituality without the communists playing Big
Brother Nazis!
Oh
oh...and the best part is that anyone can attend and 1 days is really do-able.
And I also like the fact that it's not very "religion" centric which
they have clearly aid on their site. They say religion is NOT spirituality and
vice versa :) Amen!
Besides Stephenville, Texas, there are several cities across the nation
that refer to themselves as the "Cowboy Capital of the World.green coffee beans
