i dont think mysticism have anything to do with meditation. or at least not that significant..

I guess these are two different things, with Meditation it requires you to focus and it's more on the spiritual aspect.

I believe they are related, but just because of some experiences i have had. I don't think they have to be related but i think meditation can definitely lead to mystical experiences.
|

|
I'm not familiar of Mysticism but I am familiar with meditation because one of my office mates practiced it. She said it is a nice experienced.

The two are very very intimately connected.Mysticism means and includes connection to the invisible part of cosmos,having intuition or knowledge about nature/God not ordinarily perceivable by people.Mystics are highly spiritual people,and are found to be immersed in meditation.Mysticism,in a way,is union of the soul with God,achieved through contemplation,meditation,ecstasy.In very broad term,meditation is path to mysticism,to unravel mysteries of Nature/spiritual world.

Corrupt men inhale only a low form or vitalty. The Buddha or the Christ inhales cosmic consciousness. The goal of meditation practice is to attain the alpha state of consciousness" (except from the book: ENLIGHTENMENT) so Meditation Practice are used of mystics who practice Mysticism. -Light, Life and Love.
