first of all I don't have the ability to bend spoons but I think that it's somehow related to Meditation, since both require focus but I guess spoon bending is just a another way of healing someone, could be a perfect way to show a person that you become what you focus on reaching.

I think it's just a magic trick of some sort, sorry to those who practice this but I really do not believe in this practice.

I just thought that maybe it's some type of meditation. I researched on it and found out that some teachers use it as a metaphor for healing, showing the students how you can achieve something if you'll think and focus on it well.

Meditation is about Focus and learning how to discipline your inner self. Yes there are some articles that describes meditation as something near to magic but it is not. It is not about healing others and you don't meditate to have the power to heal. You must meditate because you want to heal your inner self. You must meditate because it relaxes you and it is a good way to start and live a healthy life inspite of the stress that daily living can cause.

you are definitely right s77. Those who are planning to try meditation keep in mind that this is not about gaining psychic power but this is about gaining control of your ownself. Discovering a retreat within yourself where you can be sheltered against all the stress that sorrounds you on your everyday life. But then again we cannot blame others from thinking that meditating has something to do with magic. I have read a lot of articles implicating this myth. Magic or no magic meditating helps you so start now.

agree.. meditating is not a magical thing. It only helps you to relax yourself and lighten all loads which you maybe carrying. Meditating can make you healthy inside out and it does not promise magical powers or extraordinary capabilities but of course I do not diminish the possibility of discovering these powers. You are lucky if you get it from meditation.

Mixing meditation and spiritual powers was never a good idea. this would just only confuse you and make you aim for a different result which you wont get through meditation. When you meditate keep in your mind that this is not for any spiritual power gain but it is for your well being as a person. If you think this way then you will definitely grasp the good in meditation.

I don't believe that meditation can give you some sort of power. All I know is that it relaxes me and this is the only effect I feel. I am not saying that this scenario of power gaining does not happen. I just don't want to think about this effect because this is really not my goal when I meditate. Maybe if I gain some of this powers through meditation then I guess I am one of the lucky ones.

Anybody watch The Matrix?

Boy: Do not try to bend the spoon; that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Boy: Then you will see, it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

You are missing the whole point of spoon bending. It's an exercise in mind over matter and the realization that anything in this 3-dimensional world is possible. It's not a trick - I did it for the first time in a group of people studying mediumship and it amazed me. I not only bent the spoon but I did it with one finger. I now do this in one of my classes I teach to show people that we live in a limitless universe. I lead them through a meditation first and it helps them to open their minds up, it's not for a trick. They actually bend the spoons themselves with ease, so they feel it and know it's real.

just to inform you guys. You call this "mind over matter". They teach these things that dabble in universality and limitless power of the mind in different universities in Russia. It is also a branch of telikinesis. Did you watch matrix? The part where the kids start bending silver spoons?. How about uri geller?

i think its possible. it just works like praying when we are sick. Then we get better because we want to get better. Up to this very date, at the height of all kinds of advances, the mind of man is still the most underrated of all.

i know we can. i agree. The mind of man is also the most underestimated of all. Not becuase of everything we know, but its everything we don't know about our mind that leaves us almost ignorant about our mental psyche.

In a way, faith contributes to this ignorance.
