would meditation be helpful for me to quit smoking? I am planning to start meditation practice, and am wondering if it would somehow help me esp with smoking.

Yes kev, there's a bit possibility that it'll help you finally stop your habit in a sense that meditation helps you gain more focus and control over your body well I'm no expert when it comes to meditation but this is only my view. Goodluck with your goal hope it will really work for you!

Perhaps it can, through the focused awareness that you'll be developing I do hope that meditation can be an effective way of stopping yourself from smoking.

Congratulation if you're planning to quit smoking, that is a good move. Hope meditation will really help you, can't really advise a lot about meditation since I'm also new here.

It really helps kev. Meditation helps you to get in constant rythmn with your inner self helping you to find not only peace but also discipline and direction. I know it is hard to quit smoking but through meditation you can divert your attention from that habitt and you can learn how to control yourself well.

I guess so, meditation can indeed help but of course it also dependson your willingness to quit it. When you do meditate you become more aware of your body and you begin to determine what's good or bad for your body. Meditating can transform you into being open minded at least that's the effect of meditating to me. But of course there is no har in trying. so start already.

No harm in trying but of course you also have to help yourself. You cannot rely on meditation alone. You have to convince yourself that you need to stop this otherwise your efforts to meditate will be put to waste.

You should really try to meditate. This process help you but this should only be a supplementary help. Everything is up to you dude. If you want to stop then decide to stop. Meditation will just help you focus to what you really need to do. But all the same all work is up to you. I think you can do it. So start meditating now and get right on quit smoking.
