                          I invite older people,above fifty to talk,to share,to enjoy the discussions,jokes here.Let us be fit and enjoy life.

This is the time to live in true sense.As Agatha Christie says it is ‘new opening’,a ‘second blooming’,when you are less involved in emotions,and personal relations and find time for yourself.

According to Barbara Cartland,this is the time to grow younger(remember her book ‘Getting Older Growing Younger’).As she rightly says none of us wants to live beyond 100,but each of us wants that as long as he/she  lives he/she is fit to look after oneself,does not become dependent on others for our basic needs.That is one object of this forum.In stead of taking let us give to the society.

Here are some thoughts for you--

Your life is what your thoughts make it. Marcus Aurelius

You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life. Albert Camus

Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.Mark Twain

Forty is the old age of youth; fifty the youth of old age. Victor Hugo

I will never be an old man. To me, old age is always 15 years older than I am. Francis Bacon

None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm. Henry David Thoreau

I always say let us LIVE,LIVELY,LIMITLESS.

Let us also talk of what dreads many of us most at this age—DEATH.

I always say that if you really want to enjoy life embrace DEATH.After all,as Bhagwat Geeta says, that is certain as soon as we are born(Jatsya hi dhruvo mrityu).

 I have enjoyed greatly the second blooming that comes when you finish the life of the emotions and of personal relations; and suddenly find - at the age of fifty, say - that a whole new life has opened before you, filled with things you can think about, study, or read about...It is as if a fresh sap of ideas and thoughts was rising in you.-Agatha Christie.

The mind that is wise mourns less for what age takes away; than what it leaves behind.

You are as young as your faith,
as old as your doubt; as young as
your self-confidence, as old as
your fear; as young as your hope,
as old as your despair.

Sir Edwin Arnold’s translation of Bhagavad Gita:

“Never the Spirit was born; the Spirit shall cease to be never;
Never the time it was not; End and Beginning are dreams!
Birthless and deathless and changeless remaineth the Spirit forever;
Death hath not touched it at all, dead though the house of it seems!”

'Life ! we've been long together,
Through pleasant and cloudy weather;

Tis hard to part, when friends are dear;
Perhaps 'twill cost a sigh, a tear ;
Then steal away, give little warning,
Choose thine own time ;
Say not, Good night, but in some brighter dim
Bid me good morning,"
