I don't think meditating after a meal is a good idea, Why?bec. this is the time when your body is too preoccupied with digestion, you might not be able to focus very well. Or if you've taken caffeineted drinks, I guess it's better to wait for atleast half an hour before meditating. Caffeineted drinks are not conducive to a calm state 'coz it kind of speeds up the mind and body.

Practicing it before meals is good, then you have an empty stomach your energy is not being pulled away by having to digest your food.

Meditation after having a full meal isn't gonna work, our body has thousands of subtle spiritual nerves. These nerves become heavy after a big meal and I'm afraid this will not permit you to have the highest type of meditation.

It works better before meal. In my case I cannot really concentrate when I feel heavy and all bumpy in the abdomen. You can do it 30 min. before meal so that you won't get too hungry if your the type of person who starves easily. but if you can last a long time without eating and still you can concentrate then I suggest you do it before meal.

I agree do it before meal. I do mine before I eat breakfast. Doing it with stomach full might distract you because of the feeling of heaviness. When you meditate you should feel lighter and all parts of your body relaxed and at their most comfortable state. So try it in the morning before you eat a full meal. If you really need to eat before meditating then eat a few fruits just to put something in your stomach.

For me, it would depend on how much I ate. If I ate just enough to be satisfied, I can meditate after eating. If I eat more than enough then I get sleepy.

I always practice meditation with an empty stomach... I become more focus to it, not unlike if you meditate after a meal the body will be heavy and the consciousness will be heavy too.
