Nothing prevents you from meditating even when you are non-vegetarian,it helps if you are a vegetarian.Veg. is lighter diet,easy to digest,no foul smell from within when you sit for meditation,it improves your skin and so on.
Two-third of those trying meditation may be non-veg.,but how many of them became real yogi,perfectly in tune with self,and with the outside world.How many of them reached perfect harmony with the universe,both animate and inanimate?
Like all other habits of yours,diet too counts when it comes to Astang(eight limbs)of yoga,of which meditation is a part.
