Hey guys, what meditation equipment do you usually use? I'm using the zafu, it's a small cushion which literally gives firm support! I'm now planning on trying out the meditation stool, what brand can you recommend? I'll be waiting for your comments.thanks a lot!

if you're just starting out, the meditation stool made from wood harvest would be helpful,it provides good support. Just a reminder when buying some equipment meditty, make sure that you are relaxed and that you're posture is upright, open and fluid!

I'm using the moon cushion, it's so comfortable! It gives a greater surface area of support not to mention cushioning for the backs my legs. I'm just not sure about the stool, haven't really tried it though. goodluck in choosing the right equipment!

If you do a lot of traveling then better get the folding stool, I think it suits you, it can be folded and packed flat for transportation. :)

I alternate between a zafu and a meditation bench.  I have this one http://www.catizone.com/ and I LOVE it!  The angled legs allow you to adjust your angle so that it is perfect for you.  It is also very convenient for travel (the legs fold).

But if you're handy and you want to build your own here's some instructions:

My dad built some for me and they're great for the classes I teach.

Good luck!

I must say that for me I'm looking for a meditation aid that supports my body's inclination to move while in meditation, as this tends to happen both because the body feels unease and also when you get deeper into meditation you sometimes feel that the body wants to find a rhythmic movement. That's why I love my FreeChair for meditation.

Best is sit in the lap of bare Mother Earth.
Yogis who do not want to share their vibrations with mother earth, sit on woolen blanket.
Rest are just compromises, suggested for commercial gains.
