Kagyu Dechen Dzong was established by Lama Jampa Thaye in the early 1990s following his visits to Yorkshire at the request of his students living in the area.
Study groups which review the Buddhist texts taught during the course of the Dechen annual teaching programme, form another part of the centre’s activity, Meditation Days are also organised several times a year.
